How long after surgery can I start to cut the transplanted hair?

Kyle Evans, Australia 16 May 2017

Transplanted hair will start to grow in around three months after surgery and continue growing for up to 18 months following the procedure. The native, non-transplanted hair continues growing naturally post-surgery as well. We recommend our post-op patients wait at least three weeks before visiting a barber or hair stylist. This is because we want to be sure that all scabs are gone and that the donor area has healed before it is subjected to non-safe environments and situations.
